The Skoda Topaz project is a concept of a 6-seater electric, autonomous vehicle. One of its features is the possibility of self-driving. If necessary, the driver can take control. The extended layout allows to increase the comfort zone for passengers inside the vehicle. The idea of the design is to apply plastic techniques of abstract art and deconstructivism to the «crystal lined» design of Skoda. Hence, the compositional solution of the exterior is based on the idea of combining smooth, fluid forms with rigid, faceted surfaces.
